Houses of Parliament

TRMN has a bicameral Parliament consisting of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

The House of Commons is where general members can have some influence into the policies of TRMN. The House of Commons consists of Members of Parliament (MPs) who are voted on by the members of their Fleet or Station Area of Responsibility. MPs may serve for up to two consecutive three-year terms. They may stand again for election after a full three-year term has passed since the conclusion of their second consecutive term. The House of Commons poses questions to the Royal Council in Prime Minister’s Questions sessions during every even-numbered month.

The House of Lords consists of the peers of TRMN. New peerages are granted by Peerage Courts made up of current peers who vote on peerage nominations a few times a year. The House of Lords poses questions to the Royal Council in Prime Minister’s Questions sessions during every odd-numbered month.

Either House may pass Bills that then get sent to the other House for modification or approval. Once both Houses have approved a Bill, it gets sent to the Royal Council. If the Royal Council approves it, it becomes an Act that describes TRMN policy.
